Minesweeper

Minesweeper is a familiar covered-grid deduction game. Reveal safe cells, read adjacent mine clues, mark possibilities, and clear the board with your own next move.

How to Play

  1. 1The covered grid, selected difficulty, mine count, and timer are ready before the first move.
  2. 2Reveal a safe cell. Each number tells you how many mines touch that cell; a zero opens its safe region.
  3. 3Mark likely mines and double-click a revealed clue when its adjacent marks match the clue number.
  4. 4Clear every safe cell to win. Boards are generated locally and are not advertised as guaranteed solvable.

Tips

  • The first reveal protects the clicked cell and its in-bounds neighbors.
  • Use marks as working notes: an incorrect mark can still lead to a mine when you chord.
  • Pause freezes both the board and timer so you can inspect the next deduction.
  • Expert keeps its 30×16 logical board while using a readable 16×30 portrait layout on narrow screens.

Features

  • Original DOM/CSS grid with a deterministic protected first reveal
  • Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert boards with visible mine counts
  • Keyboard, right-click, mobile Reveal/Mark mode, and long-press marking
  • Pause/resume, restart, local best time per difficulty, and memory fallback
  • Native fullscreen plus an honest immersive fallback when the API is unavailable
