About Parking Puzzle

Parking Puzzle is a traffic-sliding game on a 6×6 board. Move cars along their fixed rows or columns to clear the way for target car A to leave through the exit on the right.

This set contains 30 original layouts. Each car can slide any legal distance in one move, and the displayed minimum includes the final exit move. Undo and Restart are available during a run. After a win, the next layout starts in three seconds unless you choose Stay here; Continue now skips the wait, and the last puzzle stays on screen. There is no hint, gameplay timer, or cross-visit save.

How to play Parking Puzzle

  1. 01Each board is a 6×6 grid of cars that move horizontally or vertically along their current axis. Cars cannot turn, overlap, or leave the board during an ordinary slide.
  2. 02Select a car and slide it to any open position along its lane. A slide counts as one move whether the car travels one cell or several; it cannot pass through another car.
  3. 03Car A is the target. When the cells between it and the right-side exit are clear, use Exit to move A off the board. Exiting is a separate move, and a blocked exit leaves the board unchanged.
  4. 04The game includes 30 original puzzles. The minimum-move number shows the shortest solution under these rules and includes the final move through the exit.
  5. 05Undo restores up to 256 recent slides. Restart resets the current puzzle. After a win, the next puzzle starts automatically in three seconds; choose Continue now or Stay here. Puzzle 30 stays on screen. There is no hint, gameplay timer, or progress saved between visits.
  6. 06Click or tap a car to select it, then use a direction button or drag it along its lane. With the board focused, arrow keys move the selected car one cell; Shift plus an arrow moves it to the furthest open position in that direction. R restarts, Z undoes, and Escape cancels the current selection or drag.

Parking Puzzle controls

Select and slide a car
Click or tap a car to select it. Use the four direction buttons to move it one cell along its axis, or drag it along its lane and release at a legal position. A car cannot turn or pass through another car.
Keyboard
Focus the board and select a car. Use an arrow key to move it one cell along its row or column; Shift plus an arrow moves it to the furthest open position in that direction. An arrow across its axis does nothing. Escape cancels selection or a drag; R restarts and Z undoes while the board is focused.
Exit and puzzle controls
When A’s route to the right is clear, activate Exit to send it off the board. The exit counts as one move. Choose a numbered layout, restart the current puzzle, or undo up to 256 slides. After solving, the next layout starts in three seconds unless you choose Stay here; Continue now skips the wait.

Parking Puzzle: levels and progress

There are 30 original layouts on a six-by-six grid. Cars occupy two or three cells and stay on their starting axis; only A can leave through the right-side exit.

The minimum-move display gives the shortest solution under these rules, with the exit action included. The game does not provide a hint, timer, or saved progress between visits.

Parking Puzzle tips and strategies

Trace A’s route

Identify every car occupying the cells between A and the exit. Then check what space each blocker needs before it can move out of the way.

Move blockers only when useful

A car can slide several cells in one move, so choose a destination that opens room for the next useful slide. Extra back-and-forth moves can increase the count without clearing more of the route.

Look for dependencies

A blocker may itself be trapped by a crosswise car. Move the crosswise car first, clear enough room, then return to the blocker and continue opening A’s lane.

Include the exit in your plan

Clearing the last blocking cell does not finish the puzzle by itself. Activate Exit for the final move, which is included in the displayed minimum.

  • Start with the cars occupying A’s route to the exit. A blocker may need room in front of or behind it before it can move clear.
  • Move a blocking car only as far as needed to open a useful lane. A multi-cell slide still costs one move, so avoid splitting a clear route into several separate slides.
  • Look for cars that block one another. Clearing a vertical car’s row may require moving a horizontal car first, then returning to the first car once space opens.
  • Keep track of the cells each car needs, not just its current direction. Cars cannot change lanes or pass through one another.
  • Compare your move count with the displayed minimum after solving. The final Exit action is included in that number.

Parking Puzzle FAQ

Can I move a car in any direction?

No. Each car slides only along its current row or column. It cannot turn, cross another car, or leave the grid during a normal move.

Does a longer slide count as several moves?

No. Moving a car any legal distance in one slide counts as one move. Moving it again later counts as another move.

What happens when I press Exit?

If A has a clear route to the right-side exit, it leaves the board in one move. If another car blocks the lane, the game reports that and keeps the board unchanged.

Can the other cars leave the board too?

No. The other cars are blockers that slide within the grid; only target car A uses the exit.

What does the minimum number mean?

It is the fewest moves needed to solve that layout under the game rules, including the final move that sends A through the exit.

Are hints, a timer, or saved progress included?

There is no hint, gameplay timer, or cross-visit save. After a win, the next puzzle starts in three seconds unless you choose Stay here; Continue now skips the wait. You can restart the current layout or undo up to 256 recent slides.

Can I move a car more than one cell?

Yes. A car may slide any legal distance along its lane in one move, as long as its destination and every cell along the path are clear.

Can I move other cars through the exit?

No. Other cars stay inside the grid and act as blockers. Only target car A can leave through the right-side exit.

Does the minimum include sending A out?

Yes. The displayed number includes the separate Exit action after A’s lane has been cleared.

Does Undo restore a previous board exactly?

Undo restores up to 256 recent effective slides and the move count. Restart returns to the same puzzle. After a win, the next puzzle starts in three seconds unless you choose Stay here; Continue now skips the wait.
